District Governor Dr. Abraham C. Kuttothara “Abe” is a member, and past president of the Loudonville Rotary Club. A Rotarian since 1976, Abe has been instrumental developing the District Youth Exchange program and served as its Chairman for over 12 years. Abe and Annie have hosted over 20 exchange students in their home.

Abe has been a two- term Assistant Governor, District GSE Team Leader to Germany and the District’s first Friendship Exchange Program Chairman.

At the multi-district level: Abe has served as the chairman of Ohio- Erie multi District Youth Exchange Program of 13 Districts and as Contact chairman for India, Indonesia, Switzerland, and Spain.

Abe founded the thriving USA-Canada Rotary Youth Exchange Officer’s Conference, the largest conference of its kind in the world.

Abe has served two Rotary International Presidents as the World- wide Chairman of the Rotary International’s Youth Exchange program. He organized and chaired two International Youth Exchange conferences, one in San Antonio Texas and one in Barcelona Spain.

Abe and Annie are both multiple Paul Harris fellows and all of their three children are also Paul Harris Fellows.

Abe was born and raised in India. He studied Medicine at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. After surgical training at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, he practiced General Surgery in Loudonville, Ohio for 30 years and retired as of Jan., 2004 .

Abe is married to Annie, a 5th grade school teacher. Their daughter Nisha is a lawyer, and son Jacob and daughter Syna, are both physicians. Abe and Annie are active as Eucharistic ministers and as prayer group leaders at their church in Loudonville..
