District Governor Elect 415 Center Street Bryan native Dave Perkins is the owner of Perkins Media, an advertising/marketing agency. He is also the Executive Director of the Black Swamp Arts Council, a multi-county organization dedicated to fostering cooperative efforts among artists and local arts groups. A graduate of Ashland University with a degree in speech, Dave has spent most of his adult life participating in and promoting the arts. A charter member of the Bryan Madrigal Chorale (and King of the group’s Christmas feasts), he also sings with ProMusica Northwest Ohio. His acting career stretches back to school days and he’s appeared in dozens of plays and musicals. A member of the governing board of Williams County Playhouse for 25 years, he is currently on the board of the Fountain City Festival, is concert chair for Williams County Community Concert Association, and serves on the Northwest Ohio Regional Arts Consortium. Other civic activities include the Advisory Board of Williams County Department of Aging and Leadership Team/Worship Chair for Wesley United Methodist Church. Dave has belonged to the Bryan Rotary Club since November 1982, maintaining perfect attendance. He served as president in 1996-96 and has co-chaired the club’s radio auction fundraiser since its inception. Recruited as Assistant Governor for Area 1 in 1998-99, he held that position through the 2002- 2003 year. Dave has several times been a facilitator at PETS and was a presenter at the District Assembly. Dave and his wife, LeeAnne — also a Rotarian and an advertising/marketing executive in the HVAC industry — are Paul Harris Fellows. The couple has one child, Erin, an attorney in Chicago (and a singer like her father). | ||||||||
