Today more than ever, education is the key that opens the door to a lifetime of opportunity. But there is no single education challenge of greater urgency than the need to make sure every Ohio student learns how to read.
OhioReads is fellow Rotarian Governor Bob Taft’s major education initiative to improve the reading skills of Ohio’s K-4th grade.
OhioReads is a partnership of schools, community organizations, businesses, libraries, parents, and students working together to ensure that Ohio’s youngest students are reading at grade level.
- Contact your local school or school district and offer to provide assistance as a reading tutor.
- Be a leader. Approach your Rotary Club and suggest that members of your club get involved as a group offering to be tutors.
