Rotary Youth Exchange---The Experience of a Lifetime!Each year, about 8,000 young people participate in Rotary's Youth Exchange program. As an unofficial ambassador for Rotary and for Rotary District 6600, students bring the world closer together while making lifelong friends.
Rotary has both long-term and short-term exchange programs. The first is for the full academic year, while the short-term program is during summer vacation and is a reciprocal, Family-to-Family exchange. To be eligible for a Rotary exchange, students must meet the following requirements:
...Must be between 15 and 18.5 years old at the time of departureStudents for either exchange are selected by a sponsoring Rotary Club on the basis of a written application and personal interview. Students, parents, and school counselors should contact their local Rotary Club for assistance with the application process.

...Outgoing and adventuresome
...Flexible and open to living in a different culture
District 6600 is a member of the Ohio-Erie Youth Exchange program, which includes 12 districts in Ontario (Canada), Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Ohio-Erie manages the placement of outbound students in over 35 countries around the world and assists inbound students with matches within the 12 districts.
