Youth Exchange

Information for Clubs

For any District 6600 club that is considering becoming involved in Youth Exchange, please contact a member of the Youth Exchange Committee and a mentor will be assigned to assist your club with paperwork, committee training, and any questions or concerns along the way. Youth Exchange is an exciting program and we want to involve as many clubs (and as many students) as possible!
  1. Ohio-Erie forms
Our district Youth Exchange program is part of the 12-district Ohio-Erie Multidistrict. All of our inbound and outbound students come and go through this organization, made up of Rotarians committed to Youth Exchange. With the relatively new requirements of Rotary International, all Youth Exchange program must be certified and must follow detailed guidelines. District 6600's certification is through the Ohio-Erie organization and, hence, we use Ohio-Erie forms and adhere to the policies developed through this cooperative group. Following are forms essential for RI certification:
    1. Host Family Application (must be completed by each host family and submitted to the district incoming chair prior to the arrival of the incoming student)
    2. Volunteer Application (must be filled out by all Rotarians having regular contact with the student…also submitted to the District incoming chair)
    3. Counselor Monthly Log (must be completed and sent to the District at the end of the incoming student's stay)
    4. Host Family Interview Checklist (Must be completed prior to the student's stay with the host family…can be submitted to the District incoming chair before the end of the student's stay…best to send in ASAP)
    5. Host family/Volunteer Reference Check (Same as above)
